Manager, Ministerial Events

About the role

The Manager, Ministerial Events leads a dedicated team within the Public Affairs branch, coordinating high‑profile ministerial events, stakeholder briefings and enquiries. This role ensures compliance with government protocols and supports joint announcements with government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute ministerial events and related stakeholder engagements.
• Provide expert advice on government protocols and manage relationships with ministerial offices.
• Lead a high‑performing team, set priorities and manage critical deadlines.
• Ensure accurate, timely information is communicated under pressure.
• Develop and maintain effective processes, communication channels and cross‑department collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in communications, events or public affairs (mandatory).
• Ability to interpret complex, sensitive issues and convey information clearly in high‑profile contexts (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of government processes and experience supporting executive leadership (mandatory).
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid work permit.
