About the role

Nambucca Valley Council is seeking an accomplished Manager Economic Development and Tourism for Macksville, reporting to the Director Corporate Services. You will lead the council's economic development, tourism and community development initiatives, driving investment, strengthening industry partnerships and delivering outcomes for the region. The position suits someone with a proven track record of delivering economic growth, ideally with experience in local government or a closely aligned sector.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering economic development, tourism or regional growth initiatives, with a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing regional communities
• Demonstrated track record of identifying investment opportunities, developing strategies and turning them into results
• Credibility and experience working with government, industry, investors and community leaders
• Ability to inspire teams, drive collaboration and get things moving
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial equivalent professional experience
