Manager – Comprehensive Assurance

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Manager to join its Risk and Compliance team, supporting a resilient, safe and well‑governed business. The role is hybrid, based in Sydney (or Melbourne) with at least three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the business model, strategy, risk appetite and external environment.
• Contribute to the Line 2 monitoring and oversight assurance program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and emerging industry risks.
• Deliver comprehensive assurance activities, including defining scope, methodology and timing, and maintaining related tools and procedures.
• Identify process inefficiencies across Business and Risk & Compliance functions and recommend practical improvements.
• Prepare concise risk and compliance reports for management and board‑level forums.
• Support priorities and work plans for the Pacific Risk & Compliance function and contribute to the development of frameworks, tools and systems.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar risk, compliance or audit role within financial services or professional services.
• Experience working in, or supporting, a regulated financial services business with the ability to interpret relevant legislative requirements.
• Working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, considering risk from commercial and strategic perspectives.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and present information to senior stakeholders.
