Manager - Business & Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG Australia's Business & Tax Advisory team, within its Mid-Market & Private practice, is recruiting a Manager to join the team. The team helps private businesses, start-ups, family groups and listed companies manage and plan for continued growth, and is looking for experienced tax professionals to grow with it.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax and accounting advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio including small to medium-sized entities, family and privately owned businesses, trusts and partnerships, foreign subsidiaries and small listed entities.
• Develop technical expertise across services including tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle-market clients.
• Take a key role across the full scope of client engagements, including regular client contact and attending client presentations and meetings with senior leaders.
• Mentor less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development.

Required profile

• Over 4 years of post-graduate advisory experience in an accounting firm specialising in Australian tax and accounting services.
• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or equivalent from an Australian institution.
• Completion or near completion of the Chartered Accountant (CA) program, or an equivalent professional qualification such as CT.
• Knowledge of common structures and corporate groups, and relevant accounting and tax implications.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to build effective professional relationships.
