Finance Analyst (FP&A) - Sydney CBD

About the role

A leading Australian organisation is recruiting a Finance Analyst through Mars Recruitment to join a high-performing FP&A team in Sydney CBD. Reporting to a Finance Business Partner, the analyst supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting and commercial insights that underpin business performance and strategic decisions. The position is full-time, hybrid and pays AU$110,000 to AU$120,000 plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Prepare management reporting and performance analysis
• Assist with business case development and commercial modelling
• Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders across the business
• Conduct variance analysis and identify key trends
• Support financial governance and control requirements
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Economics
• CA/CPA qualified or currently studying
• 1-3 years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or financial analysis
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach

• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
