Senior FP&A Manager

About the role

Amer Sports, a global leader in sporting goods and outdoor performance with brands such as Wilson, Salomon and Arc'teryx, is recruiting a commercially driven Senior FP&A Manager for its ANZ operations. Based in Moorabbin, Melbourne, the role reports to the Finance Director and defines the FP&A way of working for ANZ, acting as a bridge between Accounting and FP&A, Enabling Functions and Brand Business Partners, and the country and regional FP&A teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the planning cycle: deliverables, timeline and methodology suited to ANZ and the brand's way of working
• Deliver actionable insights to the Supply Chain team to drive operational efficiencies
• Own the monthly variance analysis (actuals vs forecast/budget/prior year) for portfolio and shared costs
• Support month-end journal preparation, including I3PL calculations, outbound freight analysis and reclass journals
• Lead end-to-end budgeting and forecasting, flowing accurately into the Financial Planning system (Onestream)
• Manage long-range strategic planning with regional and global teams, partnering with Brand, Sales, IT, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams
• Monitor performance KPIs, identify trends and guide corrective action plans
• Support financial governance, internal controls and SOX compliance, and work with the Internal Control Manager and Accounting Team on period-end close
• Act as business partner for Enabling functions: People Cost, Logistics Cost and IT Cost plans, scenario analysis and decision making
• Provide financial leadership on local, regional and global strategic initiatives

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified, with a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior FP&A or similar leadership role
• Experience in multi-channel environments (retail, B2B, e-commerce) highly regarded
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, international environment with shared services structures

• Deep understanding of financial governance, risk and SOX controls
