Manager – Business Advisory & Tax

About the role

RSM Albury is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our regional practice as a Manager in Business Advisory & Tax. You will lead a diverse client portfolio across Albury‑Wodonga, delivering practical, value‑driven advice while mentoring junior staff and contributing to a collaborative office culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team workflows to ensure high‑quality, timely client deliverables.
• Review financial statements and work papers for compliance with accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Provide commercially focused advice tailored to regional and cross‑border client needs.
• Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, superannuation funds, partnerships and trusts.
• Develop financial models to support investment, growth and succession planning decisions.
• Identify risks and opportunities within clients' industries and local market conditions.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering technical capability and confidence.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships within the Albury‑Wodonga community.

Required profile

• Degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting.
• CA qualification (or equivalent).
• 5‑7 years of experience in a professional services environment.
• Strong technical expertise combined with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Enjoys working closely with business owners and developing people.
