Manager, Broker Commissions

About the role

Macquarie is looking for a Manager, Broker Commissions to join its Distribution Governance team in Sydney. The team ensures broker commissions are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory and governance requirements, supporting strong broker relationships and the growth of Personal Banking. The role works across business, product, risk and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day broker commissions operation, set priorities, monitor delivery and escalate issues in a timely way
• Oversee end-to-end commission payments and reporting, meeting service levels, quality standards and control requirements
• Use operational and payment data to identify trends, address root causes, manage emerging risks and oversee compliance and control obligations
• Drive process improvement focused on simplification, automation and scalability
• Partner with business, product and technology stakeholders on change initiatives across discovery, design, testing and implementation
• Maintain the commissions documentation framework, keeping procedures, training materials and content accurate and aligned with business and regulatory needs

Required profile

• Degree in a highly quantitative discipline (math, stats, finance, computing)
• At least 5 years of financial services operations experience
• Experience supporting process, system or control improvements, including requirements gathering, testing or implementation
• Experience with broker commissions, lending products or third-party distribution models is valued

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel and databases
• Strong operational delivery and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
