Management Consultant – Energy & Resources

About the role

Infosys Consulting is seeking a highly analytical Management Consultant with expertise in Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, or Mining. You will work with clients to design and implement strategic, operational, and transformation initiatives that drive performance, efficiency, and profitability in complex industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients to identify business challenges, define strategic goals, and develop actionable solutions.
• Lead and deliver consulting engagements focused on business transformation, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.
• Conduct industry research, market analysis, and benchmarking for energy and resources sectors.
• Analyse financial, operational, and technical data to generate insights and recommendations.
• Design and implement process improvements, digital transformation initiatives, and change‑management strategies.
• Support clients in asset optimisation, supply‑chain efficiency, capital‑project delivery, and sustainability/energy transition.
• Develop business cases, proposals, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, etc.), Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in management consulting or industry roles within Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, or Mining.
• Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory environments, and industry value chains.

Required skills

• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
