Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, as a Maintenance Technician. The role offers a rotation shift schedule (2 weeks day, 2 weeks afternoon) and involves both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, automation equipment, and control panels.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training for PLC, Siemens S7, and SCADA systems.

Required profile

• Australian Trade Qualification – Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade, Cert III Electrotechnology Electrician, or an unrestricted electrical licence.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and previous maintenance experience.
• Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• PLC programming knowledge.
• Experience with Siemens S7 controllers.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of MEX CMMS (training provided if needed).
