Maintenance Technician – Automation & Robotics

About the role

Join Dematic, a global leader in automation and robotics, as a Maintenance Technician. This position offers a rotation shift schedule (2 weeks day, 2 weeks afternoon) and combines electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks in a supportive, safety‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and automation systems.
• Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring reliable operation of plant machinery.
• Participate in shift rotation (day 6 am‑2 pm, afternoon 2 pm‑10 pm) with overtime opportunities.

Required profile

• Australian Trade Qualification – Cert III Engineering Mechanical Trade, Cert III Electrotechnology Electrician, or an unrestricted electrical licence.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and previous maintenance experience.
• Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• PLC programming knowledge.
• Experience with Siemens S7 controllers.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Exposure to MEX CMMS (training provided if needed).
