Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance function for our automated sortation systems and related depot equipment at the Bungaribee site. You will ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is carried out, oversee urgent repairs, and manage a team of tradespeople to deliver safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of maintenance tradespeople, providing training, guidance, and support.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and rapid repairs of automated sortation systems and freight handling equipment.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory and ensure availability of tools and equipment.
• Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering Leadership to drive process improvements and support the Engineering Strategy.
• Maintain strong supplier and contractor relationships for ongoing support.
• Ensure all maintenance work follows a safety‑first mindset and complies with WHS standards.

Required profile

• Qualified tradesperson (Electrical or Mechanical) with a Restricted Electrical Licence (desirable).
• Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in a maintenance/reliability role within an industrial or freight/transport environment.
• Proven track record in process improvement and innovative problem solving.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance of powered industrial equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA control systems, 3‑phase motors and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of carton and package handling conveyor systems.
