Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our maintenance team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. You will ensure the hotel’s facilities run smoothly, delivering high‑quality service to guests while upholding safety and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance team in daily operations.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimise guest disruption.
• Coordinate external contractors, ensuring work is safe and meets brand standards.
• Assist with compliance, plant inspections and safety checks.
• Support sustainability initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep hotel operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Hands‑on maintenance professional with a supervisory background, preferably in hotels, hospitality or commercial properties.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
