Maintenance Supervisor – FIFO (Weipa)

About the role

As a Maintenance Supervisor for Sodexo’s FIFO site in Weipa, you will lead a skilled maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations across the facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coordinate both planned and reactive maintenance activities while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance tasks, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.
• Plan, schedule and prioritize preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Lead, mentor and develop maintenance team members.
• Conduct equipment inspections, troubleshoot issues and maintain accurate records.
• Enforce workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
• Coordinate contractors and specialist service providers.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC or Carpentry.
• At least 5 years’ experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial, mining or facilities‑management environments.
• Previous FIFO or remote site experience.
• Strong knowledge of building, mechanical and electrical maintenance systems.
• Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of WHS legislation and compliance.
