Maintenance Superintendent - Fixed Plant (8:6 FIFO from Perth)

About the role

Catalyst Metals owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia, which is expanding underground. Reporting to the Process Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent - Fixed Plant leads and develops a team of Supervisors and drives strategic maintenance planning to optimise plant reliability, safety and productivity across a growing gold operation. The position is permanent and full-time, with an 8:6 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Maintenance Supervisors and maintenance personnel to build a high-performing, safety-focused team.
• Plan, coordinate and execute fixed plant maintenance activities and shutdowns to maximise equipment reliability, availability and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance practices, people, systems, processes and cost performance.
• Ensure adequate labour, materials and resources are available for planned and breakdown maintenance.
• Build strong working relationships with operations, procurement, stores and other stakeholders.
• Champion safe work practices and ensure all maintenance meets the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
• Lead the maintenance function to meet production targets, minimise downtime and optimise fixed plant performance.

Required profile

• A recognised mechanical or electrical trade qualification, preferably Mechanical Fitting, Fitting and Machining or Electrical/Instrumentation, with substantial fixed plant maintenance and leadership experience.
• Western Australian Statutory Supervisor (S26) qualification.
• Current Western Australian C Class driver's licence.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior maintenance leadership role in the mining industry, ideally across fixed plant operations.
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable).

• Working knowledge of Pronto and INX
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
