Maintenance Officer

About the role

St Vincent's Care Services is looking for a Maintenance Officer to join its Mitchelton team. The residential aged care facility, a restored former monastery with 176 beds, serves residents of St Vincent's Care Services Mitchelton and Enoggera. The position is permanent and full-time, with core hours Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00; after-hours and on-call work may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work and repairs across the Mitchelton and Enoggera sites
• Maintain buildings, plant and equipment
• Supervise repairs and installations carried out by external contractors
• Follow directives as per the care plan

Required profile

• Trade qualification preferred
• Aged or community care experience desirable
• Ability to apply for a National Police Certificate
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Required skills

• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Confident use of Microsoft Office and mobile applications
