Maintenance Officer / Handyman - Aged Care Facility

About the role

Prime Recruitment is seeking a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Officer / Handyman for an established aged care facility in Wembley. The role suits someone who enjoys practical work, solving problems and keeping facilities safe, functional and well maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and routine facility maintenance.
• Maintain equipment, including hospital beds.
• Assist with garden upkeep, minor repairs and replacing light bulbs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents.
• Complete maintenance records and reports using Microsoft Word.

Required profile

• Previous experience in maintenance, handyman work or a similar role.
• Practical approach with good problem-solving skills.
• Friendly and respectful when interacting with elderly residents.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks.
• Current driver's licence.
• National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word.
