Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift, Flexible 38-Hour Week

About the role

A well-established manufacturer in the industrial and packaging sector, based in Weston, NSW, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter. The role reports to the Maintenance Coordinator and covers the maintenance and reliability of plant and equipment across the manufacturing facility. It is a permanent full-time position with day-shift only, no rotating shifts, and a flexible 38-hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting
• Repair and service plant machinery
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow company safety standards
• Assist with operational requirements as needed

Required profile

• Mechanical trade qualification (Maintenance Fitter, Fitter & Turner or similar)
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
• Commitment to workplace health and safety

Required skills

• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and teamwork
