Maintenance Fitter – Day Shift (5am‑1:30pm)

About the role

Scalzo Foods is seeking a motivated Maintenance Fitter to join its Ravenhall plant on a day‑shift schedule (5 am‑1:30 pm). You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running smoothly and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance plans and address breakdowns promptly.
• Work closely with the Operations team to record and communicate maintenance activities.
• Ensure equipment operates within agreed tolerances and complies with OH&S and quality standards.
• Organise resources proactively to minimise production downtime.
• Participate in project work and promote rigorous documentation, GMP and safety practices.

Required profile

• Australian Mechanical Fitting trade qualification.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter.
• Curious, problem‑solving mindset with an entrepreneurial outlook.
• Willingness to learn across different business capabilities.
• Passion for a strong safety and quality culture; food‑industry experience is a plus.
