Maintenance Electrician - Port Adelaide Terminal

About the role

Bunge is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join its maintenance team at the Port Adelaide / Outer Harbour terminal. You will manage operational requirements so that plant and equipment stay in the highest standard and run efficiently, with safety as a focus. Maximising uptime is critical to delivering an efficient and reliable service to customers. The role offers day-to-day variety and problem solving, alongside long-term planning projects in the preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and carry out fault finding and repairs to electrical and pneumatic systems
• Perform electrical repairs, including PLC diagnostics
• Assist mechanical staff with repairs to diesel and 12V equipment
• Help develop solutions and strategies for timely responses to equipment failures and breakdowns
• Work with the Maintenance Manager on plant improvements and future capital projects
• Carry out the preventative maintenance programme in line with terminal operations
• Take part in a rotating on-call roster and travel within the region to assist other teams

Required profile

• Electrical workers licence Class A (South Australia)
• Current driver's licence is essential
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Willingness to learn bearing lubrication techniques and to assist mechanical staff
• Unrestricted right to live and work in Australia

Required skills

• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Experience maintaining fixed and mobile plant and equipment
• Competence in interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
