Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift

About the role

The Maker Designer Kitchens division of the ABN Group, Australia's leading construction company, is looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Operator for its afternoon shift. The position is full time, with standard hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday to Friday, in Perth, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Homag CNC nesting machinery
• Operate Homag edgebanding machinery
• Enter data for stock control
• Carry out daily scheduled pre-start maintenance
• Prioritise workflow to support assembly
• Undertake general factory duties
• Follow safe working procedures and communicate clearly

Required profile

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and quality, and a proactive interest in improvement
• Commitment to meeting manufacturing targets and flexibility in approach
• Desire to learn and develop new skills; enjoys working as part of a team
• Leadership skills and First Aider qualifications are desirable but not essential

Required skills

• A forklift ticket is desirable but not essential
