Lodgement & Enquiry Officer – Part Time (Mon, Thu, Fri)

About the role

Join the Customer Service Centre of The Hills Shire Council and act as the first point of contact for a wide range of council services. You will handle enquiries in person, over the phone and in back‑office settings, ensuring applications are lodged accurately and customers receive clear advice.

Key responsibilities

• Process inbound calls and front‑counter transactions for council services.
• Assist with application lodgements such as tree management, companion animal permits, footpath crossings and privately certified developments.
• Manage customer bookings, training sessions and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain records and procedures, including development tracking and the Name & Address Register (NAR).
• Provide timely, courteous responses to enquiries and resolve issues efficiently.

Required profile

• Positive, engaged individual with an interest in development and planning matters.
• Certificate IV in Business Administration.
• At least three years of relevant customer service or call‑centre experience.
• Demonstrated conflict‑resolution abilities.
