Litigation Officer

About the role

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Litigation and Legal Services team as Litigation Officers. In this role you will handle less complex litigation matters under the supervision of senior staff, contributing to the delivery of legal advice and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs for counsel.
• Draft and file court documents, correspondence and other legal paperwork.
• Manage case timelines and ensure compliance with procedural deadlines.
• Assist in dispute resolution processes and, where appropriate, appear in hearings for debt recovery, tax technical and administrative law matters.
• Support senior litigators on more complex cases and share knowledge with the team.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancements to litigation practices, policy technology and reporting.
