Litigation Associate – Commercial & Civil Dispute Resolution

About the role

Our client, a respected boutique litigation practice, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a specialist team handling commercial and civil disputes. The role offers early client exposure, hands‑on mentoring and the chance to work on high‑value, complex matters without the bureaucracy of a large firm.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and act in commercial litigation and contractual dispute matters.
• Support business and shareholder disputes, debt recovery and enforcement proceedings.
• Manage property, leasing, insolvency and defamation related litigation.
• Prepare and appear in interlocutory applications, injunctions and other court filings.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences and other ADR processes.
• Engage directly with clients and contribute to case strategy from an early stage.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent, admitted or eligible for admission in Queensland.
• Experience in litigation or dispute resolution, preferably at associate level.
• Strong drafting, research and advocacy abilities.
• Commercially pragmatic mindset with confident communication skills.
• Ability to manage files with supervision and increasing autonomy.
• Interest in a long‑term career in commercial litigation.
