Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coordinator

About the role

Bupa Aged Care Australia is looking for a Lifestyle & Wellbeing Coordinator for its modern Berwick care home in Narre Warren, which has 120 beds across two wings including respite and dementia care. The role leads the day-to-day delivery of a resident-led lifestyle program that supports connection, purpose and wellbeing, and combines strategic planning with hands-on support.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a resident-led lifestyle calendar and special events, working with the care home leadership team
• Create inclusive opportunities that respect each resident's values, identity, culture and spirituality, and support positive relationships with families and carers
• Lead and support the Wellbeing Carer team in delivering 1:1 time, social group activities and hospitality-style support
• Complete lifestyle assessments and contribute to care planning, keeping documentation accurate and on time
• Coordinate volunteers, entertainers and outings, and support lifestyle communications such as newsletters and social posts
• Maintain safe, compliant practice including infection control and WHS, and complete activity evaluations and audits
• Step in to lead larger events and activities, and embed evidence-based approaches such as Montessori-style engagement in the Dementia Support Community

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or equivalent); degree-level qualifications highly regarded
• Proven experience in lifestyle, wellbeing or activities coordination, ideally in aged care or community care
• Current First Aid certificate including CPR
• Confidence supporting older people, including those living with dementia, and a commitment to person-first care

Required skills

• Planning and organisation of a busy team calendar of activities, events, documentation and deadlines
• Warm, professional communication with residents, families, volunteers and the care team
• Understanding of resident rights, safety and quality standards
• Comfortable using digital systems to plan and complete resident and program documentation
