Lifestyle & Wellbeing Assistant

About the role

The Lifestyle & Wellbeing Assistant supports residents of RSL LifeCare aged‑care homes to enjoy personalised leisure and lifestyle activities. Working alongside the Recreation and Engagement Coordinator, you will help design and deliver programmes that promote choice, independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents in achieving their personal care goals in partnership with them or their representatives.
• Support the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of personalised leisure and recreation programmes.
• Facilitate individual and group activities that enhance social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
• Provide stimulating programmes for residents with dementia or cognitive impairment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans and participation records.
• Apply a person‑centred approach, recognising each resident’s unique preferences.
• Contribute feedback for continuous improvement and risk management.
• Build collaborative relationships with the care team to achieve positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent) or Certificate III in Individual Support.
• Demonstrated experience in leisure, health or related service delivery.
