Library Services Officer

About the role

The City of Kalamunda is looking for a Library Services Officer to provide high-quality customer service to community members through efficient administrative and clerical work and a welcoming, responsive library service. The role reports to the Community Librarian and is based initially at the High Wycombe Library, though the successful applicant may need to work across other City library locations. It is a permanent part-time position of 45 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service and support to community members
• Perform administrative and clerical duties
• Assist customers with technology, computers, devices and digital resources
• Process memberships, loans, returns and stock records accurately
• Support community programs, events or activities
• Promote library services and engage with diverse community members

Required profile

• Experience in a customer-facing environment
• Experience supporting community programs, events or activities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Required skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong administrative, data entry and record-keeping skills
• Cash handling and reconciliation experience
• Problem-solving and proactive approach to customer enquiries

• Level 3 salary of $71,137 to $75,859 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation
