About the role
A market-leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) is looking for a Level 2 Service Desk Engineer for a permanent position based in the Sydney CBD. The role provides remote and on-site support to clients, handling escalated issues from Level 1 support so they are resolved quickly and customer satisfaction stays high.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote and on-site support to the organisation's clients
- Handle escalated issues from Level 1 support and ensure timely resolution
- Mentor Level 1 engineers and act as an escalation point, helping to raise knowledge across the service desk team
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across cloud, infrastructure, networking and end-user technologies, taking ownership from diagnosis to resolution
Required profile
- Previous experience in an MSP environment supporting multiple customers across a broad range of technologies and industries
- Proven Level 2 support experience in Microsoft-centric environments with strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and stakeholders
- Passion for technology and continuous learning; exposure to cloud technologies, cyber security and automation is viewed favourably
Required skills
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, networking, cyber security solutions, printing technologies, AV platforms and mobile device management (iOS and Android)
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune/Endpoint Manager, SharePoint Online, Teams, Microsoft Defender and the wider M365 ecosystem
