Leisure Sales Manager

About the role

1 Hotel Melbourne, a luxury hotel on the Yarra River, is looking for a commercially minded Leisure Sales Manager to join its Commercial team. The role develops and grows the leisure business by building relationships with luxury travel advisors, consortia, wholesale partners and other travel networks, working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the wider commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with luxury leisure travel advisors, consortia, wholesalers and key distribution partners.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across domestic and international leisure markets.
• Represent 1 Hotel Melbourne proactively through sales calls, industry events, networking and trade shows.
• Develop strategic account plans that drive revenue, market share and long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing and Reservations to maximise opportunities.
• Host familiarisation visits, property experiences and client events.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities in the luxury leisure segment.

Required profile

• Ideally experience in leisure sales, luxury hospitality, travel trade or a related commercial role.
• An established network in the luxury leisure market, or the drive to build one.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and business development skills.
• Understanding of luxury travel distribution, consortia and leisure market dynamics.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with a track record of converting opportunities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
