Legal Counsel – Government Contracts

About the role

Axiom is partnering with a leading telecommunications and technology company to find an experienced Government Contracts Lawyer. This full‑time position is remote‑based in Australia and offers the chance to provide commercially focused legal guidance on complex contracting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and related documentation.
• Identify, assess and advise on legal, contractual and commercial risks, delivering pragmatic solutions.
• Support key projects, initiatives and strategic matters from a legal perspective.
• Collaborate with legal, commercial, procurement and broader business teams to manage a varied portfolio of matters.

Required profile

• Current Australian Government Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
