Legal Counsel – Commercial & Construction Law

About the role

Axiom is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to provide broad legal support across commercial, corporate and operational matters within its modular construction business. The role is based in Brisbane with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on contracts, property, employment, IP and consumer law.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, supplier and construction contracts.
• Identify legal and commercial risks in projects, tenders and contracts.
• Assist with construction disputes, litigation and dispute resolution.
• Monitor legislative changes and support compliance, insurance and legal training.

Required profile

• 4+ years’ experience as a commercial or construction lawyer in a reputable firm or in‑house.
• Admission to practice in Queensland or eligibility for immediate admission.
• Strong experience with commercial contracts, contract management and construction disputes.
• Commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
