Legal & Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Legal & Compliance Specialist (12‑month fixed‑term) will support the ANZ organisation by providing legal and compliance expertise. Working closely with the Head of Legal & Compliance, the role ensures risks are identified, assessed and managed while enabling commercially sound outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and deliver legal and compliance training, both in‑person and virtually, and provide ongoing coaching to stakeholders.
• Guide offshore compliance review teams with ANZ‑specific guidance and suggest process improvements.
• Monitor industry codes and regulatory changes, translating them into practical local guidance.
• Act as a business partner to ensure compliant interactions with customers and third parties.
• Review legal and commercial contracts, supporting change‑management opportunities and process enhancements.
• Assess promotional and external‑facing materials for legal and compliance risks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, IT) under the direction of the Head of Legal & Compliance.
• Support regional and global Legal & Compliance projects, including AI‑enabled tools and technology‑driven process improvements.
