Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Strategic Research Cluster (Science)

About the role

The Faculty of Science at UNSW is hiring up to ten full‑time Lecturers (Level B) or Senior Lecturers (Level C) to join its Strategic Research Cluster Initiative. This position combines research excellence with teaching responsibilities within a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Join one of three Faculty Strategic Research Clusters aligned with your disciplinary expertise.
• Develop and lead internationally competitive research programmes addressing societal challenges.
• Collaborate across Schools to build interdisciplinary research networks.
• Contribute to research‑led teaching and curriculum development.
• Mentor junior researchers and support career development initiatives.
• Secure internal and external research funding.

Required profile

• Outstanding research record with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Relevant doctoral qualification and experience in higher‑education teaching.
• Demonstrated ability to attract and manage research funding.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
