Lecturer – Community Services

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Community Services to join our Adelaide academic team on a permanent basis, with options for part‑time or full‑time work. The role involves delivering the Bachelor of Community Services curriculum, linking theory with real‑world practice for students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials for community services units, including specialised Family and Domestic Violence topics.
• Mark assessments, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate student records.
• Support students at risk and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practice.

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Counselling or a closely related field.
• Minimum two years full‑time experience in the community services sector, preferably with exposure to Family and Domestic Violence services.
• Strong understanding of community services theory and practice, confident presenting and facilitating groups.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in supporting student success.
