Lecturer (Assistant Professor) – Accounting, Auditing & Taxation

About the role

UNSW Business School is seeking multiple Lecturers (Level B) to join its School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation. The position offers a 5‑year fixed‑term convertible tenure‑track contract, allowing you to develop a strong academic career through high‑quality teaching, impactful research, and service to the school and faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and support positive student learning outcomes.
• Design engaging learning activities, assessments and resources for diverse learning environments.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course administration and academic quality assurance.
• Undertake independent and collaborative research, develop grant‑funded projects and publish in reputable outlets.
• Supervise higher‑degree research students and participate in school and faculty committees.

Required profile

• PhD in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level with evidence of effectiveness.
• Strong research track record with publications in high‑impact journals.
• Experience using educational technologies and contemporary delivery methods.
• Engagement with industry or professional bodies and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
