Lecturer – Animal Science

About the role

The University seeks a full‑time Lecturer in Animal Science to teach, develop research‑led curricula and supervise emerging researchers across undergraduate and postgraduate study on the Hawkesbury campus.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, design, deliver and evaluate animal science teaching units, including assessment and feedback.
• Undertake research, publish in high‑quality outlets and prepare competitive grant proposals.
• Supervise undergraduate, Honours and higher degree research students.
• Build productive relationships with academic, industry and professional stakeholders to support student success and strategic direction of the School.

Required profile

• Doctoral qualification in animal science or a closely related discipline.
• Record of high‑quality tertiary teaching supported by feedback.
• Demonstrated research or scholarship with publications in reputable outlets.
• Experience supervising Honours and higher degree research students.
• Experience contributing to successful research grant proposals and stakeholder engagement.
