Learning & Development Manager

About the role
LEAP is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to own and execute the company’s learning agenda. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will set strategy, build a roadmap and deliver programs that embed core capabilities, develop managers, and unify learning across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Define a 12‑month L&D strategy aligned with business priorities and drive it from planning to delivery.
- Embed LEAP’s Core Capabilities into programs, manager development and everyday people practices.
- Design, launch and facilitate a Manager Development Program, coaching leaders to embed learning.
- Lead the implementation, continuous improvement and reporting of a single Learning Management System.
- Integrate product training, compliance and onboarding into a unified L&D function.
- Partner with People & Culture, executives, internal experts and external providers to deliver scalable solutions.
- Measure participation and effectiveness, using data to optimise investment.
- Manage the L&D budget, delivering creative, cost‑effective programs.
Required profile
- Proven L&D leadership experience, preferably in fast‑growing tech or professional services.
- Bias for action – able to move quickly, make decisions with imperfect information and iterate.
- Strong ability to translate strategy into clear execution plans and keep momentum.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building business cases and influencing executives.
- Ownership mindset – accountable for outcomes, proactive stakeholder updates and risk identification.
Required skills
- Adult learning principles and instructional design expertise.
- Hands‑on experience implementing or managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Facilitation and coaching skills for diverse audiences, from new starters to senior leaders.
- Knowledge of leadership diagnostics such as Human Synergistics (LSI), The Leadership Circle or DiSC.
