Learn to Swim Instructor

About the role

Cumberland City Council owns and operates five Aquatic and Leisure Centres across the LGA, offering aquatic, leisure and wellness programs. The Learn to Swim Instructor delivers high-quality swim classes to the community in line with Council's policies and procedures and AUSTSWIM industry standards. The position is casual, based at the Swim Centres with occasional travel between Council work sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learn-to-swim classes to the community
• Work in line with Council's policies and procedures and AUSTSWIM industry standards
• Occasional travel across Council worksites; may work across any of Council's work locations

Required profile

• Current Swim Instructor qualification
• Current HLTAID009 CPR certificate
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Demonstrated experience instructing swimming classes
• Right to live and work in Australia
• Able to provide information for pre-employment checks, including a physical pre-employment medical examination as required

What we offer

• Pay under the NSW Local Government (State) Award, Grade 3 of the Cumberland Salary Structure, $31.59 to $38.70 per hour plus casual loading and 12% superannuation; weekend penalty rates apply
