Lead Educator – Early Childhood (Part‑time)

About the role

Active Kids Early Learning Centre in Hillcrest, Brisbane is seeking a qualified Lead Educator to join its part‑time team. You will lead a group of educators, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, and deliver high‑quality early childhood programs aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering professional growth.
• Plan, implement and review curriculum in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations, the EYLF and National Quality Standards.
• Ensure child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practices at all times.
• Supervise daily operations and manage shift schedules (6:00 am – 6:30 pm, 5 days a week).
• Conduct observations, assessments and provide feedback to families.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Graduate Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, National Quality Standards and child‑safety regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative and passion for early years education.
• Excellent teamwork and mentoring abilities.
• Availability to work a range of shifts from 6 am to 6:30 pm, five days per week.
