About the role

We are inviting qualified lawyers to express interest in joining Maddocks, a leading Australian law firm. Whether you have recently qualified or bring several years of experience, you can explore opportunities across our seven practice groups, including Property, Dispute Resolution, Public Law, Employment, Development, Commercial and Construction. This call allows us to build a talent pool for future openings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality legal advice to corporate, government and not‑for‑profit clients.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and legal documents.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legislation and case law.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Admission to practice law in Australia (or eligibility to be admitted).
• Legal qualification (Juris Doctor, LLB or equivalent).
• Interest in at least one of our seven practice groups.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, combining office and remote work.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
