Laundry Assistant - Corowa Court

About the role

Benetas, a not-for-profit aged-care provider serving older Victorians, is looking for a Laundry Assistant for its Corowa Court facility. You will help run the day-to-day laundry service so that residents' clothing, linen and other items are handled carefully, efficiently and hygienically. The roster follows a two-week pattern: Week 1 Monday and Tuesday, Week 2 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute residents' clothing and linen
• Make sure clothing and personal items are handled with care and returned to the correct resident
• Keep the laundry area clean, safe and organised
• Follow infection prevention, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Work with the wider residential services team to support residents' comfort and wellbeing

Required profile

• Previous laundry, cleaning, hospitality or aged care experience, ideally in a residential or healthcare setting
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency in a busy environment
• Good organisation and time management
• Reliable, practical and team-focused, with respectful communication and a commitment to supporting older people
• Able to follow infection control, safety and manual handling requirements
