Lakebase Sales Specialist – Account Executive

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Lakebase Sales Specialist Account Executive in Melbourne to help customers modernise their operational data foundation with Lakebase, a fully‑managed Postgres offering for intelligent applications.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new Lakebase revenue by identifying, qualifying and closing opportunities in partnership with regional Account Executives.
• Lead outcomes for platform teams, developers, data teams and central IT, showing how Lakebase speeds feature delivery and improves governance.
• Run complex, multi‑threaded sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and close.
• Orchestrate proof‑of‑value and POCs for OLTP workloads, reverse ETL and AI/ML‑driven applications.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success and Partner teams to shape territory plans and co‑selling motions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, consistently exceeding quota in complex, multi‑stakeholder deals.
• Proven success selling data platforms, operational databases (Postgres, MySQL, cloud‑native DBaaS) or related AI infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of modern data and application architectures, cloud‑native services and AI‑driven analytics.
• Experience leading specialist or overlay motions alongside core Account Executives.
• Executive presence with ability to engage C‑level stakeholders and articulate technical value.
