About the role
The Laboratory Technician will join Boral's Technical Services Team in Winston Hills, reporting to the Laboratory Section Head. The role involves sampling, preparing, testing and analysing construction material specimens.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct testing according to laboratory work instructions, test methods and preparation manuals.
- Perform prescribed calibrations and checks of laboratory test equipment.
- Maintain compliance with statutory safety requirements and NATA accreditation standards.
- Prepare test samples, conduct trial mixing and physical analysis of concrete and other construction materials.
- Report test results and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Good time‑management, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computer systems for data monitoring and reporting.
- Strong analytical abilities and a customer‑focused approach.
