Kubernetes Systems Administrator

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Kubernetes Administrator to support the AGO GEO SPACES program, a critical national security initiative. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and resilience of mission‑critical platforms in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support availability, capacity and reliability of on‑premises Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 operational support, lead incident response, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting and logging using service metrics, SLOs and SLIs.
• Enhance automation, infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD practices, partnering with development and platform teams.

Required profile

• Experience as a Kubernetes Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer or similar role supporting production environments.
• Strong Linux/UNIX administration skills, including troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Ability to investigate complex incidents, contribute to root‑cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Australian citizenship with an active TSPV security clearance and ability to obtain a DISA/OSA clearance.
