Kitchen Attendant – Casual

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Attendant to support kitchen operations at AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort and AVANI WELL on a casual basis. The role ensures smooth and efficient functioning of all kitchen areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitisation of all kitchen areas and equipment.
• Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment according to safety standards.
• Assist cooks with ingredient assembly and preparation.
• Provide general support to the kitchen team for daily operations.
• Support stock control, ingredient storage and organisation of supplies.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality position.
• Currently studying Commercial Cookery or a relevant course (desirable).
• Friendly, positive attitude with professional presentation.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
