About the role

The Key Account Manager is a core member of the Retail Commercial team, responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of the Aldi and Autocare business within Woolworths. The role works closely with the Senior National Account Manager to develop and execute Joint Business Plans that drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and deliver against budgeted sales, gross margin and KPI targets for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Co‑create and deliver Joint Business Plans, identifying opportunities across pricing, promotions, range and distribution.
  • Manage forecasting processes and work with Demand Planning to ensure consistent stock availability.
  • Lead promotional planning, execution and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations and proposals, building strong relationships with Woolworths stakeholders.
  • Analyse EPOS, Quantium and IRI data to generate insights and support decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Category Development, Demand Planning and Field teams.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial experience within FMCG or a similar sector.
  • Proven experience in account management or a comparable commercial role.
  • Strong analytical capability and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
