Key Account Manager - Hospital and Community (Hybrid, QLD)

About the role

Sanulac Nutritionals Australia, owned and operated by the Lactalis Group, distributes infant nutrition products under the Alula brand. It is looking for a Key Account Manager based in Queensland Metro with regional travel, reporting to the National Field Sales Manager. The role focuses 60% on hospital accounts and 40% on community accounts, with a call rate averaging 7.5 to 8 calls per day.

Key responsibilities

• Call on key customers in Queensland, including hospital staff (midwives, paediatricians, purchasing officers), community pharmacies, GP shared care practices and child health centres.
• Promote and educate healthcare professionals and parents about infant formula products through presentations, educational materials and one-on-one interactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
• Manage assigned territories, track sales performance and ensure adequate product availability.
• Understand the needs of parents and healthcare professionals regarding infant nutrition.
• Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns and provide market research and insights.
• Report on sales activities and performance to management, attend industry events and conferences, and adhere to ethical promotion guidelines for infant formula.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Health Sciences or a related degree.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales with a record of achievement and teamwork.
• Ability to organise and run virtual and face-to-face meetings with good follow-up.
• Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to build long-term relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Time management and flexibility to meet conflicting deadlines.
