Junior SEO Executive – On-site Melbourne

About the role

Lumiq, a digital marketing and technology agency, is seeking a Junior SEO Executive to join its on‑site team in Melbourne. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience across SEO research, on‑page optimisation, content updates and performance reporting within a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with keyword, competitor and search‑intent research to support SEO planning.
• Prepare and organise keyword lists, content gap analyses and blog topic ideas.
• Update on‑page elements such as titles, meta descriptions, headings, image ALT text, internal links and basic schema.
• Upload and format content in WordPress, manage Yoast SEO fields, and ensure mobile‑friendly layouts.
• Support basic updates on Elementor, Shopify or other platforms as required.
• Collect and organise performance data for monthly SEO reports, including rankings, traffic and Google Search Console insights.

Required profile

• Curious and detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Comfortable writing and editing web copy.
• Eager to learn agency‑level SEO processes and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior digital marketers.
