Junior Immigration Lawyer (Hybrid)

About the role

Rehman Sheriff Group is seeking a motivated Junior Immigration Lawyer to join its team on a full‑time basis. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work from home while collaborating with senior lawyers and clients on Australian visa matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge employer‑sponsored visa applications.
• Assist senior lawyers with legal research, case preparation, and document review.
• Draft client correspondence, legal submissions, and other written materials.
• Maintain accurate case files and monitor deadlines and immigration policy updates.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify requirements, and provide progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with Australian immigration laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal team members to improve processes and deliver consistent, high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret Australian immigration legislation.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with attention to detail.
• Client‑service mindset and ability to handle sensitive information ethically.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative hybrid team.
• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and eligibility to practice, or in the process of obtaining admission, in an Australian jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated interest or prior experience in immigration, administrative, or related law areas.
• Understanding of sponsored visa programmes is an advantage.
