Junior Buyer

About the role

This full‑time hybrid Junior Buyer position is based in the Greater Sydney Area, supporting Peppermayo’s buying team with product selection, range planning and order placement for core and seasonal collections.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with trend research and analyse sales performance and stock levels.
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the product assortment.
• Liaise with suppliers to request quotes, samples and product information.
• Track purchase orders and delivery timelines.
• Support sample management and prepare product information for internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing and e‑commerce to ensure cohesive ranges.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in fashion buying, merchandising or retail (apparel or accessories).
• Strong analytical ability and confidence working with spreadsheets.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication and a collaborative approach.
• Proactive mindset, curiosity about fashion trends and willingness to learn from senior buyers.
• Eligibility to work in Australia and ability to attend the office on designated days.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with retail or inventory management systems (advantage).
